Asanja Ruaha (also known as Asanja Ndembo) is an exclusive luxury tented camp set on the banks of the Great Ruaha River in the heart of Tanzania's spectacular Ruaha National Park. Surrounded by ancient baobab trees, pristine Miombo woodland, and dramatic wilderness, the camp offers an authentic safari experience in one of Africa's last truly unspoiled wildlife destinations. With only eight spacious luxury suites, Asanja Ruaha provides exceptional privacy, personalised service, and an intimate atmosphere where guests can fully immerse themselves in nature while enjoying world-class comfort.

Designed by renowned safari architect Neil Rocher, each 140 m² tented suite blends contemporary luxury with traditional safari charm. Natural stone, canvas, and timber create an elegant yet understated style that complements the surrounding landscape. Every suite features a king-size bed (or twin configuration), a comfortable lounge area, an en-suite bathroom with double vanities, flush toilet, indoor hot shower, a freestanding bathtub, and premium bathroom amenities. Large glass doors open onto a private wooden deck overlooking the Great Ruaha River, complete with a plunge pool, outdoor seating, and a fire pit where guests can relax while watching wildlife pass by.

Ruaha National Park is Tanzania's largest national park and is celebrated for its exceptional biodiversity. The area supports one of East Africa's largest elephant populations, one of the continent's highest concentrations of lions, endangered African wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, buffalo, giraffes, greater and lesser kudu, sable antelope, roan antelope, and more than 570 recorded bird species. Because Ruaha receives relatively few visitors compared with the Serengeti, game viewing is often uncrowded and highly rewarding.

Guests can enjoy a wide range of expertly guided safari activities, including morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, guided walking safaris, birdwatching excursions, bush breakfasts, bush lunches, private sundowner experiences overlooking the river, and romantic dinners beneath the stars.
