Caprivi River Lodge, Namibia

Caprivi Strip, Namibia

About This Property

Caprivi River Lodge is set on the lush banks of the mighty Zambezi River on the outskirts of Katima Mulilo. Tucked beneath a canopy of tall indigenous trees and surrounded by well-kept lawns and vibrant gardens, the lodge offers a peaceful retreat where abundant birdlife thrives. Guests can wake up to the soothing sounds of the river and the early morning chorus of birds from the comfort of cool, thatched chalets.

This small, exclusive lodge features only ten river-facing chalets, ensuring privacy and a tranquil atmosphere. Each chalet is en-suite and thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a tea and coffee station, bar fridge, DSTV, and complimentary toiletries. Please note that the lodge does not offer camping facilities.

The main building houses a welcoming lounge, bar, and kitchen that flow seamlessly into a traditional dining lapa. From here, wooden decks and walkways extend over the river, providing stunning views of the Zambezi. Guests can also enjoy the boma fire area, an inviting space to relax after dinner, share stories, and unwind under the African night sky.

Located in the heart of the greater KAZA (Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area), Caprivi River Lodge is ideally positioned for both relaxation and exploration. It serves as an excellent base for visiting nearby national parks such as Nkasa Rupara, Mudumu, and Bwabwata, or for day trips into neighbouring Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. World-famous attractions such as Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls are also within reach, making it a gateway to some of Southern Africa’s most iconic wilderness experiences.
